1. I AM A MODEL OR AN ASPIRING MODEL, WHAT BENEFIT IS THIS SITE?
For starters, we are NOT a modeling agency. Listing yourself here simply gives you access to other members which include: photographers, other models, companies and fans. Networking and building connections is the name of the game! If you're looking to build a portfolio, contact one of the photographers that are close by and see what youc an work out. One of the most common things we've heard is: "I don't have money to get into modeling". Really good portfolios have multiple shots from multiple photographers. If you're starting out and don't have money, find a photographer that will do "TF" work. Which means "Time Free". Some will and some won't. It can be a great learning experience for both of you if they are fairly new, plus you get professional/semi professional shots to get you started for free sometimes.
2. I AM A PHOTOGRPAHERS OR AN ASPIRING PHOTOGRAPHERS, WHAT BENEFIT IS THIS SITE?
The ratio of photographers to models is absolutely awesome for photographers. There are roughly 25 models for every 1 photographer here. If you're getting into photography there are a ton of potential people for you to pick and choose from. If you're an experienced photographer, there are a ton for you as well!
3. IS THIS SITE FREE TO USE?
Yes, well, to an extent. We have memberships to the site that have perks, but basic usage of the site is absolutely free. You're able to communicate with members, participate in our forum and upload pictures all with a free account. You get to do the same plus more with a paid membership giving you exposure to even more people.
4. WHO IS THIS SITE FOR?
This site is great for:
- Female Models (Current models or looking to get a start in the business!)
- Male Models (Current models or looking to get a start in the business!)
- Photographers (Current photographers or looking to get a start in the business!)
- Photoshop Wizards (Current wizards and up and coming wizards!)
- Business/Companies (We are spam free but we'll let you have an account as long as you follow our rules!)
- Fans of Modeling/Photography! (This is not a dating site, treat it as one and you'll be banned!)
5. I'M NEW TO MODELING, I HAVE NO MONEY, HOW CAN I GET STARTED?
There are tons of modeling websites, books and resources out there to help you get started. If you have a specific question please post it in our forum and either our experienced staff or one of the other members can answer if for you fairly quickly!
Some quick steps to tide you over.
- You want to be a model huh? Got any professional pictures yet? That'd be a good place to start. Read all of this! A solid portfolio can cost over $2,500! Then again, you can get some cheaper for around $600.00! Luckily there is such a thing as "TIME FREE" or "TF" for short. TF can help you get started when you don't have the money, but you have all the time in the world! Ask a photographer if he/she is willing to do TF work, the worst that is going to happen is they might say no, or maybe in a few months when their business slows down. Eventually, you're going to have to fork over some money for a photographer. Camera's cost thousands of dollars, not to mention lenses, lights, studios, software to edit out your blemishes and so on.
